The Grove Education Centre implements Positive Behaviour Intervention Supports, a multi-tiered system supporting academic, behavioural, social, and emotional outcomes for every student. This framework focuses on teaching behavioural skills through explicit instruction.

The Grove 5 Expectations

The school community has agreed on five expectations, consistently modelled and positively reinforced across all environments:
· I am safe

· I am responsible
· I am respectful
· I am friendly
· I have feelings

These expectations are taught daily, reinforced, and celebrated within the school, with families, and the community. Positive language is embedded within the AAC systems used in school.

Our educators are dedicated to fostering positive behaviour among children and young people by:
· Identifying behaviours of concern
· Assessing the likely purpose of behaviour
· Understanding contributing factors
· Collaborating to develop behaviour support plans
· Providing positive behaviour support
· Reviewing and monitoring interventions

Focus on Safe Inclusion

We aim to include all children and young people, including those with behaviours of concern, in learning to the fullest extent possible while ensuring the physical and psychological safety of everyone in the school community.
